For the past six weeks, we have been delivering coffees and pastries from cafes in our network to NYC hospitals on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis. This has been possible thanks to the overwhelming support of our community.
We received over $2300 in donations from nearly 100 donors. This generosity has helped to bring business to our cafe partners, as well as caffeinate our NYC healthcare workers at Mount Sinai West, Gotham Health, Gouverneur and Downstate Medical.
- 10 gallons of drip coffee
- 250 Americanos
- 100 cookies
- 120 banana breads
- 30 pastries
- 15 breakfast sandwiches
Feedback from our partners:
“I just want to express our sincere appreciation for all the coffee and pastries Gouverneur received in the past few weeks. Our staff really enjoy and love the coffee from Round K. Some staff even mentioned they will visit Round K in person when the pandemic is over. Thank you again for the generous donation and coordination.”
– Snowie, Z – Nursing Staff at Gotham Health, Gouverneur
“The last couple months have been incredibly challenging financially; Dank has continued to pay our team even as all of our shops closed. The Coffee for Care program has been great for everyone – donations go towards orders that keep my company and staff supported, and our healthcare heroes get to enjoy coffee and snacks from all over the city. Thank you for helping us get through this together!”
– Caitlin Makary – Founder, Dank Brooklyn
While our Coffee for Care program has come to a close, we recognize that the crisis is not over. Our healthcare workers still need our support. We have included some links below for how to send food and coffee. To continue to support your local cafes, make sure you go and grab to-go if you feel safe to do so and tip as much as you’re able. Stay safe out there. We are in this together!
